Tiagolr Ripplerx Free open source synthesizer for Windows, Mac and Linux

RipplerX started as a research project on physically modeled drums and ended up being a synthesizer based heavily on AAS Chromaphone and Sai’ke Partials.

The first version was based on Partials as it is one of the few open source modal synths I could find, from there the main reference became Chromaphone and Collision, the controls and models are almost the same.

Ripplerx has additional controls for Inharmonicity and model Ratio and a distinctive sound, Chromaphone is a more complete synthesizer with more features, it has a more sophisticated deck generator, physically based serial coupling, a better user interface, etc. If you like this synth, you should definitely give it a try.

The value of RipplerX is that it is an open source alternative to AAS plugins and also provides an entry point for developers or researchers into physical modeling.
