Roland RdPiano Free Emulates MKS-20

Legendary Roland sound from MKS-20 and RD1000

RdPiano accurately emulates SA synthesis digital pianos such as the Roland MKS-20, RD1000, and Rhodes MK-80 electric piano. It simulates the CPU-B board reused in different models, emulating the CPU and custom chips.

The emulation of the custom chips is derived from silicon analysis. It also approximates the BBD tremolo and chorus effect, although less accurately than the digital emulation.

Giulioz used silicon analysis of the custom chips to reproduce the most authentic sound.

The sound quality is excellent; Roland sounds have that legendary percussive character and can be quite dreamlike at times.

These sounds are a throwback to 80s pop hits and TV shows, especially with simple stabbing chord patterns.
